It's been a year
But the pain still remains.
We begin to move on
and go our separate ways.
But now you're happy
Leaving me alone.
How can I smile so largely
when my heart has cracks as big as my fake smile?
Why do only pictures of you stop my heart
and create another crack.
It's only been a year,
and the pain still lingers.
You're as happy as can be,
and I'm stuck as miserable as can be.
The lingering pain stuck in my soul.

Ode to Music (part II)
Music,
The way your musical riffs flow is like a babbling creek.
Every single genre of you is as unique as every day of sunshine
Your guitars, drums, bass, vocals, each giving me a skip in my step
and a gleaming smile on my face
I love everything about you.
You’re my life preserver when I’m drowning, you’re my light when I’m in the dark.
Your sound is like whispers in the wind,
Your song ends with a bittersweet taste and a sense of incompletion in my
Heart.
Behind the MasK by darknessoverwhelmsme, literature
Literature
Behind the MasK
Behind the mask,
is a girl who's crying,
and softly sighing
and slowly dying.
The laughter taunts her,
always following her
with the sick twisted Laugh
which echos inside her head.
Behind the mask,
is a boy who's crying
a boy who's cutting
trying to find a way through.
The darkness haunts him
always Whispering in his ear
"Kill yourself, kill yourself" it chants
The words swirling through his head
Behind the mask
are the one's left unheard
and never said a word.
Their silent pleas
dying in the mere wind
only to be left by themselves
the ones who chose to die
Forever I will remember,
the way your hand fit perfectly into mine
the way our lips moved like one
the way your hugs kept me protected from everything else.
Forever I will remember
your touch that always felt like electricity down my spine,
your smile that lit up even my darkest days,
your love that I will never get back.
Forever I will remember
the mistakes we both made,
the love I've thrown away.
Forever I will remember
the scars of our past,
our love,
what we said was "forever".
Forever's Over
I'm going though the mechanics of life,
wake up, eat, school, sleep,
everyday,
feeling empty inside.
There's an empty hole inside where my heart should be,
but it's gone.
He did it,
he turned me into a shell,
broke my heart into two,
all with a grotesque smile plastered on his face.
What did I do to deserve this?
All I did was love,
and look where I turned up.
I'm being dragged through the mud,
faking a smile left and right,
only to fall apart inside.
I'm an empty shell,
just trying to go through the mechanics of life
The power behind me,
creating a God of Death behind me,
controlling everyone's lives.
I get to control:
if you will die,
if you will live.
Total control.
The thought of death warms me,
causing another death in the world.
My brethren are everywhere,
scattered around the world.
Creating chaos, mischief, and death is our plan,
wiping the human race along with it.
We are the God of Death.
We are guns.
I am a toy.
No,
I am HIS toy.
Manipulated by his words,
leaving me wrapped around his finder,
coiled so tight like a boa constrictor,
squeezing out what love for me he has left.
But.
He has ran out of love for me,
leaving me limp.
Me, the toy,
never planned to become a person.
I was a mere toy,
his puzzle piece in this game of smoke and mirrors,
leaving me broken,
with pieces missing.
This is the real toy story.
Hush little baby,
dry your tears,
put down your knives.
I've got something for you to hear.
You've got a life ahead of you
so let's rejoice
and never forget
that you have a voice.
You can talk,
you can sing,
you can smile,
you can do almost everything
So please stop crying
and begin to smile
forget about your tears
at least for a little while.
My White Dress by darknessoverwhelmsme, literature

My White Dress
When I was little,
I had a white dress.
White lace,
and white gloves to match.
But, as I grew up,
the dress became raggedy
the color began to fade.
The white turned into grey,
the lace began to rot
and the gloves were lost.
Soon, I became an adult,
the dress turned black.
Now it's too late,
to ever turn back.

Leave it All Behind
Leave behind your worries,
and travel to a place beyond your imagination.
Leave behind your knives,
and travel to a place where everyone cares.
Leave behind your silent screams,
and travel to a place where everyone hears them.
Leave behind your mask,
and travel to a place where you can be yourself.
Leave behind your lies,
and travel to a place where "I'm okay," isn't a lie.
Leave behind your tears,
and travel to a place where tears don't exist.
Leave behind your fears,
and travel to a place where you're fearless.
Leave behind your life,
and travel to a place beyond your imagination.
